The Shore End.
Commercial Rib Charter are always fully prepared when it comes to handling our customer requirements; the start of this season has been no exception.
The beginning of May saw the mobilisation of 5 CRC vessels to the East-coast of the UK. The mission was simple, assist our client VBMS with the shore-end landing of a 48Km sub-sea cable destined for the Galloper Wind Farm.
With 3 Open Ribs, CRC Tempest and CRC Galaxy on site, we were covered for any eventuality and the team were ready. Due to relentless Easterly winds and rough seas the job was inevitably delayed but only for a couple of days.
Once the weather started to turn in our favour, the team were on station providing Guard Boat duties for the whole operation, delivering winch cables to Tug Boats and assisting with the removal of the high-pressure lifting bags used to float the cable ashore.
“The job is done and its largely due to the support from the team at CRC” – VBMS Nearshore Works Manager
At Commercial Rib Charter, we pride ourselves in our professional approach on every job we undertake and this has been no exception.
