What a Start She’s Had!
Commercial Rib Charter set out to build a 15m Multi-Role Cabin Rib with a number of specific design requirements including; a shallow draft of 0.8m, the ability to carry 12 PAX + 3 Crew, MCA Category 1 Daughter Craft Coding and the ability to be road transportable. All of these plus more mean that CRC Galaxy is an incredibly versatile vessel.
After arriving with CRC in the beginning of June 2016, CRC Galaxy has been busy ever since.
SeaWorks 2016 is where she made her debut. This was soon followed by a 7 month contract on the Rampion Wind Farm providing round the clock Crew Transfer Services, Patrol Boat Duties and Fisheries Liaison Support. This non-stop work with a brand new vessel highlighted a few small teething problems that no one could have predicted.
Since being stood down from her work at Rampion, CRC Galaxy has returned back to Goodchild Marine Services to have a number of modifications, additions and alterations;
Secondary Fixed DSC VHF | Life-rafts moved to improve weight distribution| Additional Lashing Points on aft deck | General wear and tare repairs | re-antifouled | ‘Push on Bow’ modifications | AirCon Install.
CRC Galaxy has now returned back to her home port of Lymington and she is ready to be mobilised at short notice for long or short term contracts ranging from;
Guard Boat | Crew Transfer | Dive Support | Survey | Daughter Craft
